Instructions for Origami Mouse
- Adjust the image size if necessary to the largest compatible with your printer. Word version only: If done via format – autoshape – you can lock the aspect ratio so that it stays square. If you do adjust the size, the locations of the WordArt bits will need adjusting.
- Word version only: Customise the ‘from’ and ‘to’: you may need to change the box size to fit the areas available. Do not extend the boxes towards the middle: text can disappear in a fold.
- Print out with the image and cut tidily.
- Folding:
- fold diagonal AB (coloured sides together)(go along the diagonal, not the line, which is slightly off.). Unfold.
- fold along CD, keep folded
- with A over B, fold corner D to A
- similarly, fold C to A. You now have a square, all 4 original corners are opposite new point E
- fold D to E
- fold C to E
- fold A towards E (marked – ‘fold 7’, one layer only)
- fold A towards E (marked – ‘fold 8’, so that corner A is buried) (you've still got a square)
- turn over. Fold along sides of red and pink triangle that’s on the other side, so that edges either side of B (marked folds 9 and 10, but hidden) lie along centre crease (You've now got a kite shape, fewest layers at the bottom, pointy end)
- Fold 11: down the middle. All the red/pink is on the outside.
- There’s a white head, red body (lots of thickness), pink tail. Have the side with most text on the tail facing you.
- Shape pink tail, to vertical folds to make a 'Z', ie fold a vertical line from end of the mouse's body – tail points forwards
- make another vertical fold adjacent to where tail meets base of body – tail points back
- open the folds of the body a bit and tuck the fold made in last 2 moves in. Add a curve for realism.
- Shape ears: two flaps either side of the head. Fold them back along ‘collar’,
- fold them forwards so that there’s a front edge perpendicular to the base, then
- open ears out and shape appealingly
- Spread the base if needed, for stability and 3D. Done!

Tetrapak® Wallet
The original of this is posted onhttp://www.networkforclimateaction.org.uk/toolkit/positive_alternatives/water_and_sewage_waste/tetrapak_wallet.pdf
This one's better for people on dial-up, as it's 84kB, not 3MB! Still legible.
It's a great one for school dinner money, or other purposes where the money's worth less than the wallet.
It's also quite slim, so easily fits in a pocket. Good for vegans, as no leather involved.

Bike Light Switch Repair
When the push button switch gets unresponsive, it needs cleaning (this works for me, no guarantees though):
